Road Vehicles - Cyber Security Engineering

Automotive manufacturers must comply with the new requirements of UN Regulation 155 - Cybersecurity and Cybersecurity Management System. This can be demonstrated by the following standard. Alternatively, the car manufacturer can select their key suppliers with the requirement to meet this standard.

The standard specifies the technical requirements for cyber security risk management related to the design, product development, manufacture, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of electrical and electronic (E/E) systems in road vehicles, including their components and interfaces.

A framework is defined that includes requirements for cybersecurity processes and a common language for communication and management of cybersecurity risks.

The standard is applicable to mass-produced road vehicle E/E systems, including their components and interfaces, for which development or modification has begun after the publication of this document.

This document does not prescribe a specific technology or solution related to cybersecurity.
